Independence Day Celebrations (IDC)

IDC is a celebration commemorating Lebanon’s Independence Day through parades & other events.

In partnership with the Beirut Municipality and in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Beirut Celebrations came together and created the Independence Day Celebration over the span of 6 years. This is a celebration dedicated to making Lebanon’s Independence Day a civic event rather than a military one.

Our aim and goal was to create an event consisting of a parade held at Martyr’s Square for Lebanon and the Lebanese to be a part of. In this parade, you find all of Lebanon’s scouts, civic and private establishments, schools, artists, and other governmental associations on display for people to celebrate and acknowledge all that makes up Lebanon today.

IDC was created to nurture and inhibit the spirit of Nationalism among Lebanese living in Lebanon and those abroad. It reaffirms the value of putting the interest of Lebanon above all else.
